The motor carrier industry is experiencing significant increases in operating expenses. These increases have impacted a wide range of costs including wages and benefits, insurance, utilities, equipment, tolls, expenses associated with new regulatory requirements, and of course, fuel.

While Jevic continues to focus on controlling the impact of these increases by improving operating efficiencies and removing fixed costs, we can no longer avoid passing a part of these costs on to our customers.

As noted on our web site, Jevic is revising our general rates and charges effective on March 17th, 2008. These revisions result in a rate increase of approximately 5.9% on less-than-truckload shipments. The floor minimum charge will increase by $4.00. Truckload and partial truckload rates will increase by 3%. As a Jevic contract customer, please consider this notification letter as an addendum to your existing transportation agreement.
