Jevic Safety Director Recognized for His Accomplishments. James J. Daulerio Named American Chemistry Council Partner Leader of the Year.

Delanco, NJ…. Jevic Transportation Inc announced today that the American Chemistry Council (ACC) named Jevic Safety Director, James J. Daulerio, as the 2008 Responsible Care Partner Leader of the Year. Daulerio has been with the company for over 15 years, starting as a driver in 1993 and has over 37 years in the transportation industry.

“Jim’s perspective on safety, both from behind the wheel and now a desk is unequaled in the industry and provides our company an unrivaled insight into prevention and risk,” says Jevic president and CEO, David H. Gorman. “But its his passion for what he does and his zeal to keep all his constituencies and our communities safe that is Jim’s real contribution. He truly deserves this recognition.”

Since 1988, the U.S. chemical industry, through the ACC, a D.C. based advocacy group, has promoted the Responsible Care initiative. Responsible Care is an award-winning performance program that has resulted in emissions reductions of 75 percent and a worker safety record that is four-and-a-half times safer than the average of the entire manufacturing sector. Responsible Care helps America’s leading chemical companies go above and beyond governmental requirements and openly share their progress with the public.

The Partner Leader of the Year award is given annually to the individual who provided exceptional leadership to enhance an ACC partner as well as positively impacting the industry for the better.

Daulerio was recently named New Jersey Safety Director of the Year by the NJ Motor Truck Association for his efforts and involvement in the trucking industry as a whole. Daulerio sits on various committees within the NJMTA as well as the national umbrella group of state truck organizations, the American Trucking Associations, where he serves as Second Vice-Chairman on the Safety Committee.

Needless to say, we are all proud of Mr. Daulerio and his achievements”

The award will be presented at the ACC Responsible Care Conference in Miami on April 29, 2008

Jim and his wife Ilene live in Levittown, PA. Among his other accomplishments, Jim is certified in hazardous materials operations by the PA State Fire Academy; He is an ATA certified Highway Watch Driver; and is a 2004 graduate of the Bristol PA Civilian Police Academy. He is the proud father of five children and enjoys spending time with his seven grandchildren.
